Shuttle/Taxi Directions From Philadelphia Airport

Taxi Cab:

  • Proceed from your arrival gate to Baggage Claim.
  • Follow signs to the Taxi Stands.
  • Tell the driver to take you to the Best Western Hotel at 15th & Providence Avenue adjacent to Widener University in Chester.

Hotel Shuttle:
  • Proceed from your arrival gate to Baggage Claim.
  • In Baggage Claim proceed to the Hotel Kiosk Phone Bank.
  • Pick up the Phone for the Best Western Widener Hotel & Suites.
  • Tell the Front Desk agent in what Terminal you are.
  • The Hotel shuttle will pick you outside that terminal in approximately 20 minutes.
  • Proceed out of the terminal to the short term parking/pedestrian pick-up side of the terminal.
  • Wait for the shuttle at Zone 4.

Driving Directions

From Points North, Via Interstate 95 (I-95):
  • Proceed South on I-95 toward PENNSYLAVANIA, then toward CHESTER.
  • Proceed past Philadelphia International Airport.
  • Take exit 6 (PA-320/Providence Ave/Edgmont Ave/PA-352)
  • At the top of the ramp you will come to a stop sign, turn right.
  • In about 75 yards, turn left onto East 13th Street.
  • Follow East 13th Street two blocks to Potter Street.
  • Turn Right on Potter Street.
  • Follow Potter Street through the traffic light to east 16th street.
  • Turn left onto East 16th Street.
  • Turn left onto Upland Street.
  • Turn left onto 15th Street.
  • The Hotel Entrance will be on your right

From Philadelphia International Airport:
  • Head southwest on Exit 12A
  • Keep left at the fork; follow signs for Rental Car
  • Return/Hotel/Parking/Arriving Flights/Baggage Claims
  • Continue straight (signs for Rental Car Return/Parking)
  • Take the ramp to I-95 S
  • Keep right at the fork, follow signs for I-95 S/Chester/Delaware and merge onto I-95 S
  • Take exit 6 (PA-320/Providence Ave/Edgmont Ave/PA-352)
  • At the top of the ramp you will come to a stop sign, turn right.
  • In about 75 yards, turn left onto East 13th Street.
  • Follow East 13th Street two blocks to Potter Street.
  • Turn Right on Potter Street.
  • Follow Potter Street through the traffic light to east 16th street.
  • Turn left onto East 16th Street.

From Points West/North West, Via The Pa Turnpike (I-76) &/Or The Blue Route (I-476):
  • Proceed East on the PA Turnpike (I-76) to the Blue Route (I-476).
  • Take exit 326 to merge onto I-76 E toward I-476/Philadelphia/US-202/Valley Forge
  • Take exit 331A to merge onto I-476 S toward Chester
  • Take exit 1 for Macdade Blvd
  • Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Macdade Blvd W and merge onto Macdade Blvd
  • Macdade Boulevard becomes E 22nd St.
  • Follow East 22nd Street to Providence Avenue (Route 320)
  • Turn left at Providence Ave.
  • Follow Providence Avenue to East16th street.
  • Turn right onto East 16th Street.
  • Turn left onto Upland Street.
  • Turn left onto 15th Street.
